DeenDaily is built with privacy by design. We believe your spiritual journey, prayer habits, and personal reflections are deeply private.
Core Guarantee: We do not require you to create an account, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell or monetize your personal data.

Information We Collect and How We Use It
a. Personal Profile & Tracker Data
Name: If you provide your name, it is used only to personalize your in-app experience and greetings.
Prayer & Habit Logs: Your daily prayer check-ins (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, Tahajjud), statuses (Done, Qaza, Left), streak data, and personal habit/urge logs.
Storage: All profile information and prayer tracking records are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded or synced to external servers.
b. Location Information
Purpose: To calculate accurate daily prayer times and Azan reminders based on your exact astronomical coordinates or selected city.
Handling: You may manually select a city or grant device location permission. Location coordinates are processed on your device or sent to public astronomical prayer time calculation services (such as the Aladhan API) solely to retrieve prayer timetables for that day. We do not store your location history, nor do we use location data for advertising, profiling, or user tracking.
c. Device Permissions
Notifications & Exact Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, POST_NOTIFICATIONS):
Used strictly to deliver timely prayer reminders and audible Azan notifications at exact prayer time windows without missing alerts.
Foreground Service & Boot Receiver (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED):
Used to automatically reschedule your scheduled prayer notifications when your device restarts, ensuring uninterrupted daily reminders.

Third-Party Services
DeenDaily may interact with trusted third-party providers solely for essential app functionality:
Prayer Times API (Aladhan):
Used to fetch astronomical prayer timetables for your specified coordinates or selected city.
Google Play Services:
Used for app distribution, standard operating system performance vitals, and device notification scheduling.
Zero Ad Trackers: We do not integrate any third-party behavioral analytics, user surveillance SDKs, or commercial advertising networks that collect personal identifiers.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention
Local Storage:
All your progress, streak history, settings, and journal data remain on your device using encrypted, sandboxed local application storage.
Data Deletion & User Control:
You have full and total control over your data. You can delete all your records, prayer logs, and saved preferences at any time by tapping “Reset Local Data” under the in-app Settings menu, or by uninstalling the application from your device.

Children’s Privacy
DeenDaily does not knowingly collect or solicit any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All data provided in the app remains stored exclusively on the user’s local device.
